GROUP CLASSES

Located at Tier One Cross Fit Yoga Space

November -April 30, 2025

1820 Old Fire Tower Road, Greenville, 27858

  • Vinyasa Flow is a fitness-based breath lead practice. An offshoot of Ashtanga Yoga, it has many of the same qualities and benefits, including building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, cardiovascular stamina, as well as stress reduction.

This is an intermediate level class; however, students will always be given three options in every group setting and are encouraged to take the options that honors their body and experience.

  • With power yoga, the emphasis is on the flow from one pose to the next, rather than approaching each pose separately. The poses aren’t disconnected from each other, unlike some other forms of yoga.

No matter what you call it, power yoga is a fast-paced and intense activity. You move from one posture to another rapidly, linking your breathing to the different motions of your body.

A power yoga class may seem more like an aerobics class than a relaxed, mindful yoga experience. Though it requires mindfulness and focus on your breathing, power yoga is more dynamic than meditative.

Restorative yoga, suitable for practitioners of all levels, is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly.

  • Yang yoga classes focus on boosting strength and endurance. They aim to build internal heat through fast-paced flows and active asanas. The repetitive movements stress the muscle fibers. In this way, it makes you stronger and tones the muscles.

Although it doesn’t target connective tissues, Yang yoga still improves your flexibility, as it lengthens the muscles with continuous practice. It also challenges stamina and burns calories like any low-impact cardio workout.

In a deeper sense, yang yoga types teach you to control your breath, regardless of how difficult it is to hold a pose. After a yang class, you can expect to feel more energetic, positive, and less stressed.

Personal YOGA SESSIONS

*Held at Tier 1 Cross Fit Yoga Room

  • Enjoy one-on-one instruction as we cultivate a tailored, personal, experience, to help you focus on your unique needs, goals, and practice.

Yoga improves balance, flexibility, alignment, and serves as a strength training mechanism. This is a full mind, body, & spirit experience, one that is deeply personal, and we can’t wait to cultivate the right practice, designed just for you.

You may have heard a yoga teacher offer private sessions and you’ve been wondering is it for me? Why would someone hire a private yoga teacher? Here are just a few reasons:

    1. Time and Location Centered Around You.

    2. Individual practice designed exclusively for your body, goals, and intentions.

    3. Level and pace set by your comfort level.

    4. Communication, the ability to pause at any time and request hand on assistance or a different pose that better fits your needs.

    5. Long term intentional planning for your body and journey.

    6. Less anxiety than in a group setting, allowing you comfortably identify and express your need for modification, vision for next practice, and a wholistic approach to your individualized needs.

The oasis surrounding your lesson provides a beautiful outdoor experience where you can truly take in the incredible atmosphere that nature has to offer. Soak in all that this backyard paradise has to offer as we flow through your personally created practice.

  • We love to meet our clients where they are at, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Private yoga sessions are a great way to receive personalized instruction that is tailored to your unique needs and goals. During your private (or partner) yoga session, we will work together to create a practice that is cultivated for your needs. We will provide you with comprehensive instruction and real-time feedback. We will also and offer hands on alignment assistance.

Private and partner yoga sessions can be more convenient, comfortable, and flexible than group classes. You can learn and improve your technique in a more relaxed and easy-going environment, without feeling self-conscious about practicing poses in front of others and with the freedom and flexibility to pause instruction, ask questions, and share any concerns, in real time.

About

Julia, a non-profit attorney and mother of three, found balance and self-care through yoga, during a particularly difficult time in life. Starting with no experience, she improved mentally, emotionally, and physically by continuing to show up, and commit to her practice. This meant having to unlearn about all of the messaging that became programmed in her, just as much as learning about the ancient art.

Yoga became essential, helping her be present and release self-judgment. Becoming a certified land and Stand-Up Paddle Yoga instructor, Julia prioritizes nature for its therapeutic and calming benefits. She founded Poolside Yoga Flow to offer a tranquil, outdoor space and foster an inclusive community, to serve all inner yogis. She initiated the Women’s Yoga Detention Center program, ensuring yoga accessibility to those that are incarcerated. With a passion for Stand-Up Paddle Yoga and travel, she shares her practice worldwide. Family time is precious to her, along with her husband, three kids, and three fur pups.
